A Life on the Water
Over 35 years ago, Dorte and Ingo Jaich founded the company im-jaich, which is still family-run today. During this time, a total of nine marinas were built on the German North and Baltic coasts, the boarding house and hotel in Bremerhaven, and a diverse water holiday world on Rügen.
Since the founding of the first im-jaich marina, the various ports have been appreciated by sailors and pleasure boaters, on the one hand because of their central location, and on the other hand because of the numerous amenities and wide range of services on offer.
Today the company is managed by Hans, Till and Nils Jaich, who hold various positions within the company at different locations.

In our marinas, the harbor masters ensure that everything runs smoothly and are always ready to listen to the questions and concerns of skippers and guests. All of our harbor masters have come together here for a group photo - at the regular meetings, our local specialists not only exchange news and experiences, but also like to share one or two harbor stories!
The partner for hydraulic engineering and shipping
Company founder Ingo Jaich recognized 40 years ago not only the importance of recreational shipping, but also dealt intensively with the subject of hydraulic engineering. He founded Ostseedienst GmbH in Arnis, which is active in the fields of port and hydraulic engineering, dredging, salvage and the rental of pontoons and barges.
In 1979, the company moved its headquarters to Kappeln due to lack of space and moved into a newly acquired waterfront property. The location was consolidated by building and renovating office and workshop buildings, a hall, slipway, shipyard bridge, a shipyard crane and moorings. In addition, the purchase of the old building yard of the town of Kappeln in 2003 secured sufficient space capacity for the future.
Thanks to their excellent qualifications and years of experience, our well-trained employees ensure that everything runs smoothly and that orders are always fulfilled to our satisfaction. This enables us to handle the majority of hydraulic engineering tasks independently. We place tasks that we cannot carry out in the hands of qualified subcontractors with whom we have been working for a long time.
